What's new in Kontro (July 23)
✨ New this release
30-day view — The dashboard time-span selector now includes a 30-day option alongside 24 hours and 7 days, so you can spot longer trends at a glance.
New weather widget — Keep an eye on the sky right from your dashboard. Add the new Weather widget to see current conditions or a 5-day forecast, complete with cloud coverage. It can follow your system's GPS location automatically or you can pin it to any place you choose, and it shows temperatures in °C or °F to match your account setting.

Mute the alarms you don't need — You can now silence specific alarms right from the Alarms page. Tap the bell on any alarm to mute it - whether it's a connectivity "no data" alert for a whole system or a specific device warning, and it'll stop showing up in your alarm banner and notification badges. Muted alarms stay in your alarm log (clearly marked) so nothing is ever lost, and you can un-mute any time. (Use with caution!! )

New AI-powered alarm emails — Plus members can now get an email when one of their systems raises an alarm, complete with a plain-English explanation from Kenny about what it means and what to check. You can optionally get a follow-up email when the alarm clears. Turn it on in Settings, and it respects any alarms you've muted.

Movement map with track export — The Map widget can now draw the path your system has travelled over the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days , with a smart filter that smooths out GPS jitter so the trail stays clean. You can export the path as a KML file and open it in Google Earth to relive the journey.

🔧 Improvements
Update your VRM key without losing your dashboards — If your VRM connection expires, you no longer have to disconnect everything and rebuild. You can now paste in a new key right from Settings → System, and all your systems, dashboards, and layouts stay exactly as they were.
Refresh your systems from VRM — Added a new system in VRM? Just hit "Refresh systems list from VRM" in Settings → System and it'll pull in any new systems while leaving your existing dashboards untouched.
🐛 Bug fixes
We tidied up a number of smaller issues this release — most notably around VRM connection reliability (updating your key now takes effect immediately), clearer messaging when a system is no longer available in your VRM account, more accurate long-range map tracks, and various display and readability touch-ups.
